Behind The Scenes

Behind The Scenes w/ Nothing by William Green

I reached out to Nicky sometime in late 2024, trying to figure out what doing something together could look like. It stayed in limbo for a while, back and forth, never quite landing. Then the show at Warsaw came up and I reached out again, He sent me a text with a time to be there. I got there early, around one, trailer already open, gear spilling out, everyone in that half-arrived state, waiting to be let inside. After we made it in and it was time for soundcheck I realized I forgot my earplugs it was loud enough to rearrange the room, just that sharp, lingering ring settling in and staying there like it had nowhere else to go.

After, we had a quick stop at a record store for something they had to handle, then I broke off, five p.m. and realizing I hadn’t eaten since the day before. Back home, food first, then straight into mixing chemicals, prepping to develop film later. Sat with Molly for a while and chatted about the photo stuff, letting the noise dull just enough before heading back out.

Here is some photos and video from the day.

A day w/ Aaron Heard of Jesus Piece by William Green

I spent the day with Aaron Heard of Jesus Piece, a frontman who has built his name on intensity, discipline, and the kind of presence that turns a room chaotic before the first note even lands. He grew up in the Philadelphia hardcore world, carrying that scene’s grit and community-first mindset into everything he touches.

We had planned to meet up when he got into New York for Jesus Piece’s show at Elsewhere, and that was the plan when I went to sleep the night before. By morning I woke up to a message that he had been arrested at the border, no clear updates, no confirmation he would even make the show. Hours passed without knowing what direction the day would go.

He did end up making it into the city, tired but grounded, and we finally sat down to talk about it all. We filmed a clip of him explaining exactly what happened at the border, and then drifted into the other parts of his life people rarely hear him speak about. At one point he laughed and said a bunch of badass girls were driving up from Philly to make sure the crowd moshed properly.

This is a look into that day, the chaos & the arrival of an artist who carries more than his stage presence lets on.

Dressing Room Portraits w/ Lil Uzi Vert by William Green

My friend hit me up saying he was headed to Philly for the Powerhouse show and asked if I wanted to roll. I said yes, told my boss I had to dip for an “emergency,” and hopped in the car. When we got there, he brought me straight to the dressing room, Uzi was in there, grabbed my phone, scrolled through my photos, stopped at some shots of Lil Tracy and said, “That’s my boy. These are fire. Whatever you want, let’s do it.”

We started making portraits. I complimented his Marilyn Manson chain, and he told me he’s got a few, then pointed to a tattoo on his arm and said Manson made him get it. “Been cursed ever since,” he laughed.

He also casually mentioned that Manson had an incinerator in his basement and that he needed one too.

We wrapped with a long, comforting handshake before heading out to the stage.
