Yesterday It was absolutely pouring rain at Pier 17, the kind of sideways rain that makes you question every life choice involving outdoor shows. I brought my little handycam and a Polaroid, both immediately fighting for their lives under my jacket while I tried to catch anything that wasn’t just water.
Grayscale didn’t flinch. Even soaked, they were joking around, warming up, wiping off guitars with whatever semi-dry cloth existed. The skyline disappeared into fog, the stage was slick, and somehow that made it all the more fun.
