This is the start of the fourth installment to the project. This release will be done on a 7" record.
In the second week of Jun Mitchell took a two week trip to LA and Portland and along his adventures he recorded some videos of some sounds using his I-phone for us to process. In this video you have a chance to hear the sounds and what is done with them.

I have really been slacking these past few days on the blog so here is what i have neglected.
Here is some footage that gives you a little look into a new tape i am working on that i hope to be released in the next month or so if all goes well. It is made up from 3 sounds each only 1-2 seconds long.
I sat down and recorded some sounds using a tape recorder that had the eraser head ripped out so you can record over and over on top of each later and then processed it.
Sat down with my 40h last night and made some slow and drifting sounds to end the night with. Maybe i will work this stuff into a longer piece for a release down the road or it might be used as a back layer in the upcoming shades of waves.
Ive always really love the way clouds roll in. Yesterday I decided to setup my tripod outside yesterday to shoot some timelapse footage of a few storm clouds rolling into Orlando Florida, It rained a little but nothing crazy.
When i went to New York two years ago to take some field recordings, I never put everything to use because I took a good amount, so over the past year i have been fitting some into my work and after taking a little break from releasing tapes I am now finishing up some work with them that i hope to release on a tape with a label I recently reached out to.
The piece is 14 minutes long and is made completely of the New York field recordings no other sounds were used.

I uploaded session 29 in my meditation series to Youtube tonight.
I will more than likely fit in at least two more sessions before the end of the year but the more i am able to do and put out the better.
I have been getting a lot of positive feedback about these sessions and it means a lot.
Next year i hope to purchase more bowls and or work with bowl companies to further what i am doing with the meditation work.
Today has felt as if it were moving in slow motion so i thought i would sit down and write some slow paced sounds to go along with it a soundtrack for my day if you will. Here is a video and a image to go along with the day.
I picked up a Kalimba i have laying on my bookshelf tonight and decided to record a few sounds to process. I then put them into Ableton Live and went to work and here is a little piece i created. Im thinking of stitching it into the next shades of waves piece.
When i woke up this morning i decided to finish processing some chime sounds for a video i was working on before i left for Miami. Here is the footage and sounds.
I got home last night from a
little two day trip to Miami with my buddy Clay. It was not as packed as
i thought it would be but people were still as impatient as ever so no
worries.
Here are some images i took along the trip, I have a roll Kodak bw400Cn to still get developed but this is most of what i shot.
Aside from taking photos i took some video to document the trip below is a little vlog featuring the footage and some music i made from sounds collected in Miami.
Yesterday i worked on some sound stuff and video stuff while i was out and about, Nothing bit but just a little minimal thing.
I will try to do more this week, I just realized last night that my friend Clay who used to run a label that ive released on called HandrolledGold lives right up the road from where im at in Florida so we will be taking a trip down to Miami tuesday for some photo adventures. Maybe i will do some field recordings while there.
