This project came to life in April 20012.
Shades of Waves is Mitchell Davis + Brian Green:
↑ Introduction to Shades video Mitchell put on his MM channel. The sounds in the video were featured on the first installment of the project.
The first three parts of this project were release on cassette tape and recycled materials they were I/II, III & IV you can give each a listen by clicking the corresponding image below.
Here is some footage of us working on the 2nd tape. We decided to record all of the base sounds over the phone because there was a bad storm in Ohio where Mitchell was. This session features Field Recordings, Ukelele and various other instruments and sounds we have laying around.
During the session i processed some of Mitchell's voice with the Monome to use as a back layer of the main recording.

This is the fourth installment to the project.
In the second week of June Mitchell took a two week trip to LA and Portland and along his adventures he recorded some videos of some sounds using his Iphone for us to process. In this video you have a chance to hear the sounds and what is done with them.
